Lamb Hass Avocado Tree

Lamb Hass Avocado Tree

A newer cousin of the Hass, the Lamb Hass produces rich, creamy avocados with firm, golden flesh and few strings, in a pear-shaped fruit with a thick, pebbly skin that turns dark when ripe. It’s a great all-purpose avocado for toast, salads, and guacamole.

Lamb Hass sets heavy crops and ripens later than a regular Hass, so it can extend your season into summer and fall. Its fruit sets mainly inside the canopy, so you can prune the tree for size without cutting into the crop.

Why You’ll Love It

• Rich, creamy, buttery flavor with firm, golden flesh
• Heavy fruit set, with a larger crop than Hass in many yards
• Later harvest, from late spring through summer and into fall
• Easy to keep in bounds, with an upright habit that takes pruning well
